Aims
The package can be used either for primary presentation of material, for revision or as a basis for workshop/tutorial discussions.

This courseware is written to provide students with:
• an understanding of the basic electrophysiology of the heart and of the normal ECG;
• a simple introduction to the classification of cardiac Arrhythmias;
• a knowledge of the classification and pharmacology of anti-dysrhythmic drugs;
• an understanding of the treatment of the commoner Arrhythmias.

Objectives
These should be defined by the course tutor and will vary with student group, discipline and the level of knowledge / understanding, both pre-existing and required.

Target Users
Cardiac Arrhythmias is designed for students studying in the Health, Life and Biomedical Sciences, including pharmacology, pharmacy, pre-clinical medicine, dentistry, nursing and physiology. It might take 2-5 hours to complete the package depending on the depth required.

The package is supplied on a CD-ROM Installation Disc and can be installed to a local hard disc or network drive.
