This package relates to activities involved in the practice of pharmacy, with particular emphasis on community pharmacy. The aims are that the user will learn the following practical pharmaceutical skills and information:

  1. What the requirements are for the different types of prescription. The user will learn to identify errors on the different prescriptions and understand the course of action that should be taken upon discovering an error.

  2. What the labelling requirements are for dispensed items. The user will learn how to create labels for dispensed items and how to identify errors on existing labels.

  3. What guidelines are available to help pharmacists to design patient information leaflets. The users should then be able to create their own leaflets.

For each section, the user is given the appropriate background information followed by examples illustrating the information. There are then practice questions which allow the users to test whether they have understood the information. Feedback is given to every response.
