The package is designed to introduce the histology of the four main tissue types: connective; nervous; muscle and epithelium, using text, line drawings (30+) and full screen histology slides (40+). The slides may be viewed with or without labels. The structure of Blood and the make up of individual organs (microanantomy) have not been covered.

Introduction
This covers the essential information required to interpret conventional light transmission histology slides - includes a brief outline of slide preparation and how magnification is calculated.
Connective tissue
Briefly covers the main components of connective tissue: fibres; cells and intercellular matrix, their function and appearance in various named classes of connective tissue: loose connective; tendons; hyaline, elastic and fibro-cartilage and bone.
Epithelium
Covers the essential classification and terminology of surface and non-surface epithelium and briefly relates structure to function. Includes examples of exocrine and endocrine glands.
Muscle tissue
Covers the structure and appearance of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscle.
Nervous tissue:
Covers the main structural features of neurones and includes various examples of cell bodies, nerve fibres and nerve terminals (or accessory cells).
Review of Slides:
Provides the user with the opportunity to review all the images contained in the package
