| This package introduces students to the most important non-parametric
tests in health research.
The statistical tests chosen are those most often applied in the
health sciences. For example in testing for responders and non-responders
to a questionnaire against epidemiological variables such as gender,
the chi square test is the most commonly applied. Relative risk
and odds ratios as tests are becoming more commonly applied in clinical
trials.
For each test there are exercises and interactions to instruct
students as to the minimum knowledge required to apply the test.
These are made available as short printable notes at the end of
each lesson. There is also the opportunity to input student's own
data and observe the relevant calculations leading to the test statistic.
In some cases the student may choose to access instruction on the
underlying probability distribution which allows interpretation
of the test statistic. |
