One can come back and study in their own time to make sure a topic is understood. 012 Nomenclature. Package simple to use and easy to understand. No mention of naming benzene-related compounds. Very beneficial if used alongside lectures as anything you don't understand you can re-read and work through example. It has helped to clarify my knowledge. 013 How to be able to name any organic compounds.       014 How to name and understand the naming of organic compounds. I found both the computer program itself and the content easy to grasp. I didn't find anything particularly difficult to grasp. I found the package very useful indeed as I was in need of a revision of the subject. Even if it had all been new to me I think it would still be very helpful as it was very clear and well presented for easy use. I am looking forward to completing the sections I didn't have time to cover and would rather use this package than looking in a text book. 015 A general knowledge and understanding of how to name compounds. Most of the simpler questions on both the topics I looked at. The later examples on naming the compounds. Some of the later questions where you had to name the structure often brought up new structures not explained previously. 016 The correct method and easy way to name organic compounds. Almost all of it - it was presented in a simplistic way. Nothing - but I didn't study all the packages (not did functional group nomenclature). I feel a little more confident about how to write things in the correct order and with correct punctuation. I felt I could do it before but it used to be a little muddled up. 032 A-level revision as well as avoiding "common mistakes". Finding the longest chains. I prefer to work at my own pace (rather slow) and as a consequence did not reach the end of the package and still couldn't answer the questions. Found it a very useful aid to learning. 041 Naming organic compounds correctly. Most of it. Naming some compounds myself. I enjoyed using the package and found it easy to understand. It was well laid out and the instructions were good. 042 How to name compounds correctly by using prefixes, parent names, suffixes and numbers. Naming alkanes and alkenes. I made a few mistakes in trying to work out the longest chain, sometimes it wasn't totally obvious. I didn't get time to study the aromatic/cyclohexane etc. compounds and I do find these difficult therefore I could not answer the questions related to these. 045 How to correctly name the compounds and have a broader understanding of how to do so. Where to put the commas and hyphens as before I kept getting mixed up. Having to put the substituents of the compound in alphabetical order - I'd never know you had to do this. I found having to write down the names of the compounds in the package useful as the multiple choice options could be fairly easily eliminated and gave the person a chance to make sure they get the commas and hyphens in correctly. 046 Everything about nomenclature in the topics covered. Basically everything was quite easy to grasp. Nothing. This package was very helpful. 048 The basics of nomenclature, identifying functional groups and how to try and tie this in with complicated structures. All. None. The package is pretty well laid out but it does become boring very easily. However, this package is easy to follow and the information is very good. Perhaps students studying A-level Chemistry would benefit greatly. 049 How to name organic compounds systematically. The naming of alkanes and alcohols. The naming of ethers, amines and amides. The package was very easy to follow and helped quite a lot. However one session would probably be insufficient and if we got the chance to use the package again I would certainly do so. 050 How to name organic compounds. Naming the alkenes. I feel that I have much more confidence now on computers. 057 How to name the organic compounds. We'd already learnt most of it at school so it was mostly just revising. Nothing really. But in the multiple choice questions 'ISO' was in the answer and hadn't been explained in the package. We weren't given enough time. I don't think there will be much difference in the tests, as what I couldn't do before I still can't do because we didn't get time to finish so didn't cover this part.   058 How to name organic compounds using a standard set of rules. Correct order and punctuation of prefixes.   On writing out names of chemicals if a spelling mistake was made in answer, computer would tell you your naming was wrong, when in theory it was correct - perhaps it should be able to distinguish between silly spelling mistakes and wrong answers to prevent puzzlement. 071 How to name organic compounds. Most things. Some of the ways you numbered the C backbone chain. At first I found this a little confusing and naming the side chains and then incorporating this to give the correct answer. On one section of the program the answer 'This answer is not incorrect' in response to one of the questions. I think it should have replied that the answer was incorrect. 072 The systematic approach to these areas of organic chemistry. The procedure for naming alkanes. The naming of the more complex organic substances such as the ethanoates. There could be more information on the procedures for naming the complex organic molecules. 073 How to use the package and whether or not it helped me to understand nomenclature better - use of computer. I found it more beneficial than sitting down with a textbook or something of that nature. 082 How to name organic compounds correctly. The order in which you go about naming a compound, i.e. alphabetical order - for alkyl groups etc.   The package makes understanding of how to name compounds easier than if you were to go about the same task using a book. 083 Methods for naming the organic compounds in the package. Most of what I did. None. The functional group nomenclature was more difficult than the other sections, but I didn't find it difficult to grasp. We didn't have enough time to work through all the sections of the package. 084 The rules used to name compounds. How to name something with more than one functional group. It gets boring after about 30 minutes as it is repetitive. Looking at a computer for hours gives me headaches, so I don't really enjoy the monotonous exercises. Make them more fun. I don't think it should be compulsory, but used when it is most needed (by choice). 086 How to name different compounds. Yes. The content of the program was easy to read and understand and therefore it was very easy to use the computer.   I found nothing difficult to grasp. A really good package from which I would have learned a great deal more if I had taken down notes. Unfortunately, I don't know how to load the program up and so could not use it alone if I went to the library. 117 The correct way to name (and write the names of) alkanes.
