The package provides an alternative source of information to standard texts, and provides a more efficient mode of teaching for what is often perceived by students as a boring subject. The courseware aims to enable a student to:

  1. Recognise the correct name for an organic molecule when presented with alternatives

  2. Derive the correct name for a given structure

It is assumed that students will have a basic understanding of organic functional group chemistry before attempting the package.
