Users of the package are provided with the characteristics of a dispensed product, in generic format, and required to select appropriate cautionary and advisory labels, or traditional supplementary labels.
After completing the package the student should be able to consider a pharmaceutical product, in terms of its formulation characteristics, it pharmacological effects, its drug/drug and drug/food interactions, its legal requirements, and the characteristics of the patient in order to label the product appropriately with cautionary and advisory labels, or 'traditional' supplementary labels.
